The first keynote speaker was Sazid Ibna Zaman, Mahidol University, Thailand who spoke about his several researches based on health sectors using GIS, especially epidemiologic factors of tropical disease: Malaria and the remarkable contribution on identifying the tracks of spreading Malaria throughout the country.

The second keynote speaker, Mohammed Zahid Hasan Siddiquee, GIS and RS Specialist, Bangladesh spoke about ‘Application of Geo-spatial Technologies in Integrated Water Resource Management with special focus on SDG’. He stressed on the importance of efficient water management in urban and rural level planning for sustainable development.

After a short break, the third keynote speaker Mohammad Abdul Hadi, Bangladesh Country Representative, ESRI South Asia spoke about the ‘Next Generation Desktop Application to Real Time Enterprise GIS’ which was an interesting presentation of ArcGIS pro and it’s several designed interfaces which will facilitate the ArcGIS users in upcoming days.

The final speaker was Dr. Sheikh Tawhidul Islam, Professor of Department of Geography and Environment, JU Bangladesh who spoke about ‘People, Place and Processes: Geospatial Applications in Planning Exercises in Bangladesh’.
